Around 1900 Hotel Bergdorf, situated at the crossing of Lindenroad and
Luikerstreet housed a sub post office and also (temporarily) a casino. |

The mayor, the country policeman and the fire brigade served Neutral as well
as Prussian Moresnet. On top in the middle over the group photo is the
municipal shield of Neutral Moresnet, which is in the museum in Kelmis. |

The brass band of Vieille Montagne, founded in 1853, reached a high level
with the guidance of capable conductors. |

In 1908 a great propaganda demonstration for the Esperanto state Amikejo was
held in the pavilion of the shooting association. |
