The zinc mine

Vieille Montage exploited the zinc mine for a long period. Unfortunately, no traces of the zinc mine or the factory are found in Kelmis. However, the coat of arms of Kelmis shown here does have the hammer, the iron and the three stars of the emblem of the Vieille Montage shown here.

The concession for the Vieille Montage was signed by Napoleon.
